Build the tall carcase from cabinet-grade plywood and anchor it securely to wall studs. Frame-and-panel doors should have floating center panels with no glue in the grooves, allowing seasonal movement. Use adjustable shelf pins, but keep one fixed shelf near the middle to prevent the sides from bowing. Hang the doors before painting so hinge corrections do not damage the final surface. A durable waterborne enamel suits the exterior, while clear finish inside makes spills easier to clean. Confirm floor level and shim the base before fixing the cabinet permanently.
