Curved laminations require a full-size template and a rigid bending form. Rip several thin, consistent birch strips, spread glue evenly and clamp them in the form with cauls so pressure reaches the entire curve. Make paired rocker components in the same form to keep them symmetrical. After curing, trim both against one master pattern. The rocker radius and center of gravity determine whether the chair feels stable, so prototype the side profile before making finished parts. Round edges generously and inspect every glue line before installing the sling seat.
