Privacy Policy

This page explains what Vizural collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

What we collect

  • Account information: username, email, profile details and a securely hashed password.
  • Content and activity: ideas, boards, saves, comments, likes, follows and messages.
  • Search and engagement activity used to improve recommendations for signed-in users.
  • Your signup IP address, used to detect automated or abusive account creation.
  • An essential, signed session cookie that keeps you logged in.
  • A short-lived session-storage identifier used to prevent duplicate view counts and abuse.

Visit analytics

Vizural records visits to public pages so we can measure traffic, understand how the platform is used and improve performance. We record the public page path, a random session ID, the referring hostname and UTM source when present. The session ID is stored in session storage and rotates after 30 minutes of inactivity. We do not store your raw IP address or full user-agent in analytics; instead, they are converted into a keyed one-way identifier that changes every day. Known bots and private areas such as settings, inbox and admin pages are excluded.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data to third parties or use tracking cookies for advertising. Analytics data is used only to understand and improve Vizural.

Your rights

You can edit or delete your account from Settings. You may also contact us to request access, correction or deletion where applicable.

Storage and cookies

Vizural uses essential authentication storage to keep signed-in users logged in and session storage to distinguish one active visit from another. We do not use analytics cookies for advertising and we do not sell analytics data.
