Mountain Pose Breathing Practice

Description

Stand with feet hip-width and weight balanced across heels and forefeet. Soften the knees, lengthen through the crown and rest the hands on the lower ribs. Inhale for a comfortable count of 4 and exhale for 5–6, feeling the ribs expand in all directions. Continue for 8–10 rounds without straining. Return to normal breathing if you feel light-headed; use a chair nearby if balance is uncertain.
